Underneath, below there’s a big mouth monster it’s destroying my braincells it works like a pill Such a lonely creep with eyes but no eyelids whispers in my language and it never sleepssssss I can’t make it leave nothing left to feed it it works like a sickness it works like a pill Underneath, below there’s a big mouth creature wants to hire my skull wants to threaten meeeeeeeee It has no sense or healing It knows a place to hide It crawls and scratches consciously my braincase from behind... It’s trying to coax me into operate my voice and mouth... It’s trying to fill my ID with repugnant fateful thoughts... Beneath my skin, I’m looooooooost... Underneath below... It’s trying to coax me into... it’s trying to coax me...

Maybe this is not a perfect day Nothing seems to work the way I wanted All I feel’s unwillingness And I can’t... I just can’t get better Maybe this is not the perfect place Nothing’s looking now the way it used to I’m just trying to do my best But today... Today... I’ll face up to everything that shames me like if no one’s gonna help me and if something’s turning empty Then I’ll just tell a lie... Tell a lie... Nothing has come out the way I planned So I can get down or try to fix it Need to do something with this distress But today... Today... I’ll face up to everything that shames me like if no one’s gonna help me and if something’s turning empty then I guess I’ll tell a lie... Tell a lie...

Your attention, please. We have reached the climax of our existence. This is the point where we liberate our current lives of our past lives. Today there won’t be a tomorrow. This is a global message. Citizens of the world: get ready. You’re about to live a moment that will change everything. After this minute nobody will ever get worried ‘bout anything, nobody will ever contain their emotions, nobody will think twice. Therefore, any material thing or human feeling or fucking common sense doesn’t exist anymore by now. Destroy your houses! Burn your dogs! Eat your own toes! Mow down the biuldings! Erase all the trees on Earth! Flatten any sign of civilization! Turn the cities into ruins of the modern life! Devastate! Kill! Take the step to a new mind state by letting the mayhem be spread.

See her coming down right now trying to go unnoticed while she walks around See the tension in her legs see the blame in her face see the dryness in her mouth She’s stumbling again with the same rock She’s crawling again like an earthworm but she gave up and feels she’s back against the wall She will regret before it happens She’ll regret before it happens See the shiver in her hands See the way she changes the gears of her car Driving slowly to his home while forces herself not to think of what she does She has tried to forget the way he always talked and behaved She has tried to forget the way he treats her each time they have sex But althought she knows she will feel upset and things will happen the same filthy way they always sadly did, there she goes again... She’ll regret before it happens She will regret even before it happens She will regret before it happens She’ll regret before it happens She will regret before it ha

She was a normal middle-class girl. Good student, good daughter, she loved her dog, she had posters of teenage idols in the walls of her room. She used to go to the movies once a week. She didn’t smoke, she only had drunk a few beers three or four times with elder sister. She was the kind of girl who was afraid of needles. She liked to keep the house cleaned up, she liked to paint her nails and she still got thrilled with Disney films. Her best friend was called Elise. But the life of that girl suddenly changed one night. Not all humans are born to be saints. And this one, by the way, was not. Just have a look at me! Don’t you think I’m everything you have ever desired? Come on! Come on! Talk to me, get obsessed, I wanna show you how’s a good girl gone wild! I’ve shaved my legs for somebody like you, I’ve been getting prepared for a mystical ride! You’re about to experience the most unbelievable blowjob you have ever had in your life! I want you to destroy my body, to leave my ass with a rectal prolapse Have you ever met anybody like me? Have you ever fucked anybody like this? Lick my pussy just for one sec and you’ll catch an AIDS as a Christmas gift! Me, I just wanna get fucked tonight, wanna bite your balls, wanna screw you! Me, I just want you to hit my throat with your glans, I really wanna fuck you up! Grab me by the hair, go on, spit on my face, don’t contain yourself, treat me like a rag! Aren’t you glad of having my clam in your face? Aren’t you afraid of realising I’m insatiable and you’re never going home again? I want you to destroy my body, to leave my ass with a rectal prolapse Have you ever met anybody like me? Have you ever fucked anybody like this? Lick my pussy just for one sec and you’ll catch an AIDS as a Christmas gift! Don’t want it tender, I want it hard! Don’t want it gentle, I want it fucking fast! Don’t want it tender! I want it fucking hard! Use your fist! Use your fist! Use your fist! Use your fist! I want you to use your motherfucking fist!

Everybody! Everybody! Everybody! Everybody, please, get dressed, for God’s sake!

He phoned his mother, pretending everything went fine. He thought that would reassure him, maybe take him to when he was a child and got nothing to lose, nothing to hide, nothing to worry about, nothing to pretend... nothing to be scared of, apart from the possibility of his parents to die. He remembered he used to be emotionally naked, he was pure expression. He always had that shine behind the eyes. That shine didn’t disappear a concrete day for any particular reason. He simply realised it was gone one of those nights he just could not sleep, even though he had taken that pills. His mother’s voice sounded by the telephone as warm as it always had. It was his ear, his eardrum, his brain, his emotional absence what made it feel as innocuous as any other voice. As if the one who was talking nicely, unconscious of what was happening inside the head at the other side of the line, wasn’t the woman who saw him grow and knew him better than anyone in this world. He never imagined he’d see the day when he wouldn’t connect with that voice to the point of forgetting all his troubles. His growing apathy, his delusion for everything he believed to happen, but never did. While she was telling him what she’d had for dinner that very night, he realised that he just didn’t know when he got used to live in that resigned state of null expectations. His emotional anaemia. A cold teardrop came automatically to his eye when he knew that that would be the last time he would hear her voice. It simply ran down across his tired features with the same relevance of any raindrop. That was the final step. It was then when he knew it for sure. He didn’t tell her he loved her. He just said ‘goodbye’ as if they were going to talk a few days later. He hanged the phone just as always. And then he got prepared.

about

These eight songs are the result of an intense week of hard work. Absolutely everything, all the ideas, all the lyrics, all the recordings and all the mixes were composed, performed and executed between the 23rd and the 29th of December, 2009. There is nothing in this album thought or recorded out of that week. It could have turned out better, it could have turned out worse, I don’t know. There are some details I’d touch up, but this project wouldn’t have any sense if I’d dedicated more time to it. These songs were immediate and urgent, but I’m quite pleased with them and with the whole experience. I hope you can appreciate this work considering the conditions it was made in. But above all, I hope you enjoy these songs without considering those conditions.

Piedras In The City

Tras años de grabaciones solitarias, demasiado underground como para tomárselas en serio, Coré Ruiz empezó a componer sus primeras canciones bajo el alias de Piedras In The City...
